    Academic Orientations

This required program will serve as your overview of academics at Ursuline College. On this day you will learn about our core curriculum, as well as specific requirements about your major. You will meet with an academic advisor/faculty member to select and then register for your classes for the next semester. This orientation is designed to facilitate your smooth transition and promote your academic success at Ursuline. You will also have the opportunity to meet some current Ursuline students and other new students. Plus you will leave the event with your Ursuline student ID so make sure you are camera ready!

High School Parents/Guardians are also welcome at First-Year Academic Orientations! They can attend specific sessions just for them and meet Ursuline staff members who can support you as you begin your journey at Ursuline. When you submit your RSVP, please indicate if your parents/guardians will be joining you at the event.

Transfer students can choose to attend the morning session (9:00 AM to noon) or the afternoon session (1:00 to 4:00 PM). First-Year Academic Orientations are full day programs from 8:30 AM until about 2:30 PM or 10:30 AM until about 4:30 PM.

    Please note:
    • Recent high school graduates who have college credit (CCP or AP) should attend the First-Year Academic Orientations, not the transfer orientations.
    • All athletes who play volleyball, soccer, cross country, and basketball are required to have their physicals at 9:15 AM on June 12, 2019 so they may want to choose to attend the June 12th date for Academic Orientation which begins at 10:30 AM that day.
    • If you live out-of-state and it's too far to drive to the college, you will be contacted by phone and/or email by URSA, the office that coordinates Academic Orientation to make alternate arrangements.
    • Second Degree Accelerated Nursing students will attend their own orientation. The nursing department will follow up directly with you with more details.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call Dr. Barbara Huff at 440-646-8123.
